In My Humble Opinion

Practicing gratitude as a way to minimize unnecessary consumption.

It’s the Friday after (American) Thanksgiving, which means a lot of folks are shopping deals – or just shopping. Full disclosure, I’ll also be shopping deals on the computer from the comfort of my in-laws’ couch. However, I’m really strategic when it comes to Black Friday deals. I either a)focus on Christmas gifts I intend to buy and try to get a discount or b) buy clothing, skincare, or makeup that I’ve had in a cart for a few weeks waiting for the big sale to hit. There’s no scrolling for the sake of scrolling because marketers know what they’re doing and damn it’s easy to justify spending.
